James Stuart Ferguson

James  is releasing his debut EP and we are celebrating! Come join the party, and take-in the solid songwriting, excellent musicianship and polished vocal stylings of these Richmond, BC up-and-comers.

James Stuart Ferguson is a music project consisting of James Ferguson, Taylor Pawsey and Dave Julé. Hailing from Richmond, B.C James grew up performing in musical theatre and in local bands. In the summer of 2016 he enrolled himself in a small college program for songwriters and emerged with the songs “The Light” and “Wish the Best.”  

To begin forming a band he posted a rough demo of “The Light” on Facebook. It hooked the interest of Taylor Pawsey, a talented young musician from the small town of Lloydminster, Alberta. He plays drums and writes some guitar parts as well. He is currently studying music production in North Vancouver.

While playing football at the University of Regina, Dave Julé realized his calling in music. He hung up his cleats and drove out west where he met Taylor at music school. After listening to what Taylor and James were creating he jumped on board to play lead guitar.

After their first jam they felt instant chemistry and a similar approach to songwriting. They perform a live show with groove that revitalizes and reinvents classic sounds and genres. They hope to tour Canada and eventually worldwide.

As they work to expand their band and audience, James Stuart Ferguson will release their first self-titled E.P over the Summer of 2017. With help from producer Winston Hauschild (Mike Edel, Hannah Georgas) James Stuart Ferguson have crafted a debut E.P that turns heads. Be sure to catch them at local open mics and headlining shows in Vancouver and surrounding areas.
